Hi Folks,
Does anyone has experience of getting Police Report Copy for lost Indian Passport if lost has been Reported to toronto police? My friend has reported a lost and having Report ID# ------ but as per Downtown police headquarter my friend can't have physical paper copy (POLICE REPORT) issued by Police. Police will forward info directly to overseas consulates but will not issue Police Report.
If someone knows please advise. If normally police report goes to consulate, why consulates keep demanding for submitting police report for lost passport?

If the consulate would ask directly they will send a copy. You should be provided with Report # which you can provide it to consulate.
I think you can also get a copy but they will charge for that.
