When the team had its worst drubbing in England and Australia, as the senior most and the most experienced player, even if he is not a captain was it not his moral responsibility to say "The buck stops here" and not blame some newcomer half his age. .
In cricket buck stops with performance and not with age ..... otherwise you would have not been pushing for a 30 year old S Badrinath to playing for India.

Fair enough .... why dont we do that .... the last series played by India was Asia cup in Bangladesh ..... let us have a look at the performance of our top 5 batsmen and decide who deserves to stay in team ... let us judge solely on perfomrnace in the last series played no reference to old records.
Now look at the performance of our batsmen and tell me in your opinion who should be retained in Indian team.
This is the main reason for the very poor performance of this team. Of judging players by their performance in B'desh. This is typical "classic Boycott century" type performance, which does not consider the team's situation. And deserves to by boycotted. Even a 50 or 70 on a bouncy Sydney or Perth pitch is much worthier.

Yes with performance and not on the "non" performance of the other ten. There were many others like Badrinath, some of whom you might never have heard. V.V. Kumar, A.G.Satwender Singh, T.E.Srinivasan, W.V.Raman, Robin Singh apart from the Sadagoppan Ramesh South Indian name, you most relish. About these players, I know because they come from my home state. There are many others from Ranji teams like Kerala, Andhra, Bengal, who played their cricket for the love the game and were heart broken when justice was not done to them when they were at their peak. They had quit much earlier than Badrinath, otherwise they knew they might make a fool of themselves, since the BCCI office is not on their backyard.
For them certainly "goose bumps" will not develop when the national anthem is played. Certainly they knew, in the system, something was wrong somewhere.

Sure you feel proud of them since they come from your home state ... but to stay in Indian team you have to "perform" ... simple .
Take the careers of any of these players and see how they performed and you will get the answer ....
Worakari Raman's record in last 5 games he played
V Zimbabwe 66 and 0.
V Sri Lanka 0
V W Indies 4
V S Africa 29.
Now do you call that performance ....... all games played in India ...
FYI .... on Sydney cricket ground most runs scored by a non Australian is by Sachin Tendulkar ..... in 5 games he has scored 785
Sir Don Bradman ..... in 8 games he has scored 703 runs..
Sahin is averaging 157 in Sydney !!!! You dont do that if you have talent ...
Name anyone from Tamil Nadu who has an average like that on any ground playing any type of cricket ..... will take tennis ball cricket too .... and i will personally speak to Sharad uncle to have that player play for India

Man...now I know why I am not in Indian cricket team...I love(d) the game so much and was heart broken when got out on 10...one time even I made 12..but looks like TN Cricket "bored" was not in myback yard...
If love for the game would have been the criteria whole billion population would be in India team...
Chal chhod yar lets put Rajani in the team and these guys will be happy...all fantasy no real stuff...
No point in arguing..Sachin's name made history and will be there forever no matter what these haters do now...
