Before 2008-09 there were few (rather negligible), but since then the trend has increased. & a lot more people have returned. Unemployment/underemployment stress for skilled professionals being the major factor.
In case of Indians migrated to Canada after working in Middle East GCC countries (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), the percentage of Indians returned back is very high (my sense is that it could be around 50%)

I'm in Canada from last 8 years with having a big positive friend circle & also couple of relatives. I have seen only about couple of guys, that too before 2008-09 leaving Canada. Out of those, one couple was here back in Canada within 4 months as their move to back home turned miserable & they themselves could not adjust there. Ironically right now after 4-5 years of the incident that couple is the best settled couple within my group in Canada. They have never visited India after that & now have stable jobs with a big house in Mississauga and one son.
After 2008-09, I have never heard of anybody leaving Canada to move back to India.
Mr. PK Girpare, seems to have lost his interest in his post/request.
He hasn't responded to any of suggestions. Probably the Canadian depression has taken a serious toll. God bless him, to have a speedy recovery..
