Peculiar Immigration Question - Please advise

Dear fellow Desi’s
I am new to this forum, however my association with Canada dates back to May of 2012. Mine is a very peculiar question and I am not sure if a similar discussion has ever taken place on this forum.
I moved to Toronto last year from New Delhi with an 80K per annum job and all relocation expenses paid for. Actually my Indian employer was able to find a role for me in Canada when I told them that I have a PR and I am moving. I realized later that having a good job in hand before landing is really a big deal and I just couldn’t believe my luck.
I thought that not having to struggle and having a good job is a blessing for me only to realize later that it was actually a curse in disguise. Not realizing how uncertain the job market is in Canada I went ahead and bought a new and expensive car and committed to purchasing a house on the basis of some wrong advise I received from some desis I met and trusted them as my well-wishers . I realized later that those desis had their own vested interests and I should not have listened to their advise.
I learnt it the hard way when I got fired from my job a year later. Since this was the first instance in my life of being fired, I actually went into depression and decided to come back to India in June this year. I lost quite some money on the house as I had to forfeit my deposit and lost money on the car as well.
Now after having come back to India I signed up with a shrink to cure my depression and simultaneously started looking for a job only to realize that the Indian economy is presently doing worse than the Canadian economy (in relative terms) and that I haven’t received even a single interview call in 2 months in Delhi.
I am now contemplating moving back to Canada leaving my wife and child behind and checking out the job market there. This time I am better prepared and willing to do survival jobs as well for some time. I am reasonably well funded and willing to a do a short term course as well if it improves my job prospects.
Just to give you my background I was in the credit and collections industry and was working with a leading BPO in India
Any advice (both positive and negative) is highly appreciated from fellow desis on whether I should try out my luck in Canada or should stay in India.
Just to be honest my reason for moving to Canada was not for money or being rich but to be able to offer a better quality of life to my child.

Sorry to hear about your set back. Chalk it to experience. After you return and take a moment to ponder, see if your past employer contributed to the Employment Insurance, from your past pay slips. If he did, then see if you can take a ride on that, till you find the next job. It might take a while, who cares!! you are getting a little relief from the EI. If you need any help after your return, drop us a note here.
Then after you find a suitable post, get your family back and live a little frugally.

Another instance of many, in which people move to India & then understand the real value of life in Canada. But you are different from others as you clearly stated about your idea of having a better quality of life for your kids....earned my respect with that one statement.
I have seen many desi's around (and on this forum) who just spread negative complaints about Canada & try to discourage others for their personal mental benefits. They keep on bragging of going back to India, but never does & keeps on going everywhere suggesting people to go back to India !!!
My humble suggestion to you would be to come back to Canada and try getting a decent job. It might take a little trouble but then a successfull life without trouble is not worth it !!! The most important thing is to think about how do you want your kids life after 20 years from now ?? once you get the answer, it would be easier for you. Lots of millions of people here are happy and enjoying what Canada has offered them. I'm not saying India is bad, but there is some reason why people come to Canada or go to other countries, in your case its the better quality of life... so believe yourself and come back as soon as possible. Try staying away from negative people around everywhere & keep on laughing on them.... as I find that a very effective tool to defeat their plan !!!
On the funny side (not related to you) didn't you find any guys who can start a petition against the Indian government for people who couldn't find jobs despite of proper education..... no right ??? I guess u see those only in Canada !!!
I don't think you have anything to lose by again coming back to Canada. One thing that goes in your favour is Canadian Experience. You already worked here for an year as a professional. You can leverage that experience, bolden it on your resume, and get go from there. Trust me, having an years' experience would work wonders. You need to, however, explain the unemployment gap to the potential interviewers.
You're doing the right thing this time by coming here alone. Settle well, don't think about buying a house anytime sooner, forget about buying a car for now and ply on a public transit until you get a job. I think you have a better experience in that regard, rather than me putting it down.
Don't worry. You'll do good as you have a right approach this time. We all have been 'once bitten, twice shy'. Learn from experiences. Remember, there are no mistakes - only experiences.
Once you are back, try to have a friendly communication with your supervisor/boss who fired you and try to find out the real reason. If they fired you because of reasons not related to you, than it was just your bad luck. If you were fired due to any reason related to you/your performance, try to fill those gaps and start working again to find another job in the same domain even if you have to settle for lesser salary or smaller role.

Sorry to be rude, if I am.
This is the paradox of Canada.
You came here for a better life for your children (to Canada) and now you have to leave your children behind in cursed India while you come to Canada to see if you can start a new life.
Though Indian economy is down, I donot think that it is that down not to offer you a job there. However that being said, call centre / credit jobs are available in plenty in Canada. If $ 15 an hour is all you want, please do come back. However, if you are thinking of any job which will offer you more than $ 45K a year, I would not come back, if I were you.
However, you know yourself better.
Instead of returning to India, this is what you could have done in Canada.
1. Sold your car.
2. Rent a portion of your house or rent the whole house and move to an apartment.
3. Apply for welfare.
4. Get provisions from food bank.
5. Having a spouse and child could have got you between $ 500 to $ 800 a month on CCTB/ Child Tax etc...
6. Be on a cash job to avoid paying taxes to a country which treats you as a second class citizen but yet invites you to settle here.

Equip yourself with extra tools ( skills / training that can be used)
As TK said you may use the system for survival if necessary.
