Thanks Dimple 2001 ...
Technics isn't a popular brand in digital pianos but then Technics is Technics ..Do you have a Technics as well ?
The negotiation is on going - I have William Shatner of Priceline negotiating for me .. LoL ..

Fido.
No need to mention this, as you always know, in technology based devices, what you hold in your hand to day is obsolete tomorrow in the morning.
Technics was into music making, and into great devices in the electronic music, long long time ago. They must have gotten into the key boards at a later stage and expanded into it. Now I think are taken over by Panasonic and if there is any support, it will be only over the phone or over the e-mail. They have sold out their business and must have gotten into something better.
None of these machines marked Technics are supported anymore, so I will keep away from them, if at all possible. So, if you have one of their devices use them wisely. Parts for them are hard to come by.
In my selection I have introduced you to YAMAHA, who are the TOPS in this Industry so far and they got into the electronics about thirty years ago, but only into the keyboard side, plus the amplification. If you take a look into any of the SHOWS, that they hold once an year, you will see CASIO now rules and Yamaha is slightly trailing behind, but still very innovative by introducing a MIKE and WIFI and bring in all of the APPs into it and I ask myself,"where were these gadgets when I was a kid"?! It has opened up a lot of avenues for our children, plus the introduction of reading of the music and the scores plus the playing of all the instruments with the knowledge base and mathematically generated scores, life has changed and the development of and the design therefore has made it a pleasure in acquiring one and enjoying the use of it. So, do encourage your children at a very young age, if at all possible. (We have Six months of the year, hibernating indoors)
It reminds me of the OMEGA Seamaster Chronometer, and their AD that they used to port along with it which said, "May be you will own one, one of these days". Since punctuality was not a word in an Indians' vocabulary, I did not pay heed to it.
So, go for Yamaha or Casio, now it is narrowed down to TWO. See if it suits your pockets. Also dicker with the seller, it is on Kijiji.!!!

PS. Some of the machines have electronics built into it that will accommodate the newer devices as time progresses, because, they have a vision of things to come and they are slow in developing them. In short they are backwards compatible. Yamaha and Casio are the two to look for. Also they pour tonnes of money into Research and Development.

I could not open the link above.
But I am glad to provide you with a current promotion on the web, but I do not know where they are located. But here it is. . A good machine too. You might like it also.

I received this through the local news letter, some thing which is an add on to the machine. But only if the key board has lighting system. (It is worth exploring the idea, and hence the link to the newer developments.)
