team, what are some of the areas where desi professional / corporate folks live. i am looking for a diverse area with good schools ( with diversity, i mean : no significant majority - a nice potpourri)

TIA.

With schools in mind, I would say that there are a few areas you sense a concentration of East Asians and scattered in a lot of other locations. It is because of the rental high rises, being readily available. Even then, the schools do have a mix of people from everywhere because of the practices adhered to by spreading them in different classes.

Just to add, when a Chinese kid scores a 92%, their Parents look down upon them. So, you can't compete with them. It is the ranking that gives them an entry into higher education and scholarships. So, you will have to go GUNGHO with the kids' education if you want them to be ONTARIO SCHOLARS.

With the increased arrival of in Indian and Chinese Immigrants, the concentration is increasing quick and the non availability of good and decent housing, the proportion is increasing even higher each and every day.

Every city provides to you what they have as a population count, taken five years prior to, in their statistics, so you can consider that adequate, as most of them buy a property to settle down and it takes good five years to do that. A few may do the flipping too.

The concentration is in Mississauga, Scarborough, Markham, North York and Richmond Hills area too. You will have to open up a spread sheet and work things out for your own personal requirements to be exact in your search.

Hope this helps you a little bit.

FH.

thanks, very helpful.

i looked at port credit vs mileona vs lorne park as my top 3 picks. but there is only so much research you can do online :) would anyone have insights into how diverse these neighborhoods are?

i am not in favor of high academic rigor in school - My concern is that my 3 y.o shouldn't feel "outed" or a significant minority in school.

Slightly old, but you can interpolate the current OR look for STATS-CAN Report.
