Dear Mr Deep, I appreciate your comments on different points, but, everyone may not have same purpose as you have , to leave for Canada.
It depends on what they want on their short/long term run, if you can eloborate on this may be benefecial.....

A bit of reality before going to Canada............

1. If you are working in a managerial position in Dxb - you will be disappointed going to Canada


2. If you are in Engg field working for Oil co. in Dxb/AD - u will be disappointed


3. If you are working in private co, still earning Dhs 10k plus, u will be disappointed

4. If you are an average graduate looking for a white collar job in Canada - u will be disappointed

5. If you are a competent person with SOFT skills - you will succeed

6. If you are a blue collar worker - u will succeed

7. If you are in labor category in Dxb - you are going to land in heaven

8. If you are not so competent but willing to do anything, you will succeed in Canada

9. If you are used to the luxury of Dubai - you will be disappointed

10 to 20% may be exception to what I said.........remaining is reality...

I'm from Abu Dhabi. Applied in Jan 2004 and the file started processing from Mar '04. Still awaiting ( eagerly) for further correspondence from the Canadian Embassy. Hopefully I should be thru by this year end. Any idea's / suggestions to offer ???

hi all,
i m from dubai. applied in sep/oct 03. got the file no. in 15 jan 2004.
got interview waived in may 2005, asked to submit police certificates, latest passport photo & landing fees, recieved medical papers in mid june 2005 and got medical test done on 26 june 2005. waiting for PR.
