Hi,
Can somebody will reply me who has applied in Oct'03 & received file number in Jan'04 from UAE and got interview call or waiver. Also, let me know if any body gets interview call than by what time the interview can take place? reason I am asking because one of my friend has recd interview notice and has been given that they will contact you between 15/20 months for an interview. This is strange and hard to believe and all planning may go fail
Thanks
SM
Hi Dubai Guys,
A bit of reality before going to Canada............
1. If you are working in a managerial position in Dxb - you will be disappointed going to Canada
2. If you are in Engg field working for Oil co. in Dxb/AD - u will be disappointed
3. If you are working in private co, still earning Dhs 10k plus, u will be disappointed
4. If you are an average graduate looking for a white collar job in Canada - u will be disappointed
5. If you are a competent person with SOFT skills - you will succeed
6. If you are a blue collar worker - u will succeed
7. If you are in labor category in Dxb - you are going to land in heaven
8. If you are not so competent but willing to do anything, you will succeed in Canada
9. If you are used to the luxury of Dubai - you will be disappointed
10 to 20% may be exception to what I said.........remaining is reality...
Just my 2 cents !@@##$$

Hello to Dubaivasi's
I've been to Dubai on stopovers, but never stayed more than a few days in Dubai.
Since the last twenty months I've been interacting to a lot of people from various parts of the world, in particular with people of Indian origin who have been in Canada for the past three years and waiting for their passports. Some of them have worked in USA, Europe, Singapore and in Africa too.
The message I gather from them, which I would like to pass it on to you all, is that the life you lead in Dubai is the best in the world in today's standard. You earn the best salaries, work in quite proffessional set up's, are away from India (just 3 hours) and can lead a western life or an Indian type of life in Dubai as both are available.
I donot know about the visa conditions or requirements for Indian passport holders, but if you are planning to come to Canada, DO NOT BURN YOUR BRIDGES WITH YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYERS!

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
Hi guys,
It is surprising, commenting on Dubai after interviewing the people from Uk, singapore, US and south africa that too the interviewer not stayed in Dubai for a few days.
Might be mistaken, may be other country to be mentioned in the place
