Which one to rely on Map Quest or Yahoo Maps both give up a diffrent route for driving down from Toronto -Newyork .Any one has experience pls respond.
Which POE is considered to be good enough for crossing in.

I've a bad experience with Map Quest, some roads in PA were renamed or something and map quest didn't provide me with the updated info. maps.yahoo.com has never failed me.

Taking Queenston - Lewiston bridge is the best idea.

Hope this helps.

I live in Scarborough & usually go thru 1000 Islands. The drive is longer by around 50 kms, less traffic once you enter US (I-81) and avoid paying toll on I-90. If time permits we make a stop at 1000 Islands for a little while.

Thanks for your inputs ,as far as the tolls go are they manned or u have to carry exact amounts to drop in.
Any idea on prepaid cell phone cards which could be used on this route?

The Toll booths are manned, unless you're exiting at a small exit which leads to a small town.

Prepaid Cell Phone Cards - why do you want that. All you need to care about is if your cell phone can connect to 911. Which it will. Unless if you're thinking to call someone if you're lost or something. In that case just keep the maps with you.

Mine is going to be a oneway trip ,so will be canceling my cell phone services in canada before i move. And i am going to use UHaul the only option for Canadians to cross over to USA and U Haul is notorious for its machines.
So Cell Phone is the most important thing .
