Hello,
I did my initial landing 2 years back. Now I have a new born baby, with whom the full family intend to relocate for permanent residence. I understand that I cannot apply PR for the new born baby, while I am outside Canada. I will have to bring the child on visit visa.
Anyone on the forum, who immigrated with similar situation. HOw long does it take to formalise the PR of the new child, after landing in Canada.
We landed Canada 1 year back and holding PR card and we came outside Canada after spending few months there. Now we are expecting a baby in 3 months time. If we go to Canada now, how diifficult for us to survive there (delivery/medical related expenses) since we haven't applied for the medical card yet ?
If the child is born outside Canada , how difficult is to get the PR for my new child ? Is that possible ?
I appreciate any expert advice from you.
My advise would be to give birth to your baby in Canada to avoid long waiting time of sponsorship application....
If you land right now I sure that you would have enough time to get your medical card before the birth of your child.
Bear in mind that if the child is born in canada...he will be a Canadian citizen directly, with a canadian passport & everything.
Plse wait for the experts' reply before taking your decision.
Ciao
