Hi,
If some one get Permanent Residance and is staying outside Canada. In case new baby is born during his stay outside Canada, what will be the procedure to get baby Visa/Residancy? Is there any complication in it?
Thanks,
Prince
I too am looking for an answer to the above question. CIC says that it is impossible to change, erase or add to the information already encoded on the optical stripe of the PR Card. Does it mean that PR Card becomes invalid and one has to reapply if the family status changes- for e.g. a baby is born to the card holder? If that is so, it will be a real problem for someone who is not residing in Canada.
Masood Bhai please help to clarify above
Thanks,
Desi Guest.

To apply for PR for the child, you will have to live in Canada. You cannot sponsor while living outside Canada.
To bring the baby to Canada along with you, the baby will need a visa (unless the baby is a citizen of a visa free country such as the US) which can be applied at the Canadian consulate. When you apply for the visa, you might likely be questioned in regards to your own PR status and such.
