I am going to India for 2 weeks for a visit. I was wondering if anyone konows how I can get a cell there to get mainly incoming messages from Toronto free.

buy a prepaid card in India and ask ppl in TO to SMS you via internet ..you know those Web-to-SMS. They are not 100% delivery guranteed n also slow but thats what you get for free.

If you are an Indian Citizen .. i.e you have an indian passport, then just take a copy of your passport & you can get a prepaid card .....incoming is free in India.

If you are a Canadian citizen .... then you can ask someone in India to get it for you....... A cash card .... this you can get as low as Rs. 99 in Delhi ...
