Hello Folks,
Looking forward for your advise on this following situation

Currently working with a Multi National company a full time job in Canada. When i signed up with them i also signed up that I will not do any part time job as they ( current company )think it would effect the induvidual performance.

I live at one of the borders of the country...

I have now other opportunity to work in US on week ends.

Now the question is If I take up the job in US and at the same time doing the full time job during the week.. will there be any complications if the present company comes to know about it .. if so what could it be?

Please put in your valuable advise.. appreciate if any lawyer could reply to it

Looking forward for your reply

Regards

Kolls

They could terminate you. They could also seek compensation for violating the agreement.

If your new job don't affect your current job and you are confident about it, talk to your manager. I am sure you can work something out. A happy employee is more important for any sensible manager. Depending on your company size, there could be standing policies on cases like these or they may be looking at these on a case to case basis. If there are standing policies, it will be tough to go around.

On the side, if your motivation for the new job is additional income, even that can be discussed. May be you will get a hike for all you know.
