Since everything is on camera on a gas station, I do not think the pay at the pump machines can be tampered without the gas station employees' knowlege. If the employees are involved, then even paying inside with your credit card will not be safe. You would have to use cash then.
If the house keys are stolen and they have your address, I guess the only option is to get the locks changed.

If the only choice at a gas station is between credit card and interact...go for the credit card. You will have a easier time getting the money back compared to getting money back into interact.
As far as the keys are concerned. The war-amps have a service, pay a donation (any amount) and they send you numbered key tags. Put the tag on the keys. The person who finds the keys sends to war-amps who sends to you.

Ofcourse. if your keys are 'stolen' then the thief most probably has a reason for doing so.
