That just reminds me of the 'Brick Lane' in London a popular 'Indian food ' area where though they publicize as Indian restaurants , we were surprised to find that most of the restraunts were being run by Bangladeshis .

The area you're speaking of is officially known as Banglatown due to the high population of Bangladeshi's living there....so it's not surprising most of the restaurants there are owned by Bangladeshi's. And saying that they serve "Indian" food is just a way to generalize for the rest of the population as you must be well aware that "Indian" food is very popular in the UK....going out for an "Indian" is almost a national past time...and no one really cares whether the owners are Hindu/Sikh/Pakistani/Bangladeshi...as long as the food is good and they serve beer!

I wish the food were good or close to being good ... unsuspecting people were / are being taken for a ride on the name of 'Indian food ' ..... picture this scene right before my eyes ......

White customer : Can I have 2 naans please .

Cashier : We are out of naans but we have fried naans . Would you want them ?

White customer : Yes please .

Cashier : 2 fried naans for you . 4 pounds please ......

(To my surprise he packed him 2 bhaturas ...... :) )

There are a few things missing here for people to understand the real situation.
First and foremost, India is not really what you think is India. India that you describe is actually hindustan or baharat, while India or Indian food describe a little more than just one country at the moment. It is like America which desribes more than on ecountry.
Food in hindustan, baharat, Pakistan, Bangladesh is very similar becasue tehy were the same people partitioned by two failed politicians who could work out htere differences adn split hte country into pieces and disturbed the peace.
One could also say there are people from Bagladesh and Pakistan living with the language spoken in Hidustan. Please do not tell this to the people who understnad history
