Hello Blue_peafowl,
Even I tried the same but it looks like many in the GTA are more scams than anything else. I donot think that such kind of jobs are easy to find in the GTa and even if they do exist, they are all running in full capacity and replaced by relatives of those who do it.
The only ones that I could think of (reality) is this :

1. Makes somosa's at home and hire someone to deliver them / sell them to shops.

2. Be a daycare assistant (Govt.) in daycare (but you need to pay your full daycare for the child while at the daycare while your wife will get money for daycare). You can contact your local MPP for more information on this.

3. With the child attend paid surveys in universities / coleges etc. which pay around $10-$12 an hour (Transport is your responsibility).

4. Open a food catering business at home. Have a website running and advertise on Kijiji, Craigslist for customers. If you incorporate a company, you could legally write off your mortgage, food, gas expenses etc.... Besides, when you make some donations to organisations, you stand to get $15,000 back on your tax return (legal). Contact your accountant for more details or send me a PM. I heard that this 15K, you could get back every year from the govt. if your company makes 80K or more a year.

5. You could ask the Ontario govt. to help you open your own small buisiness at home. They even loan you an amount (though I heard that they are about to close it). Ask your local MPP for more information on this. So in this case, you will be able to provide jobs to more immigrants (if you have a good business plan)

6. Start a home based registered / unregistered daycare. Once you advertise some innovative ideas (like free coffee/ Free Pav Bhaji for parents), it is likely to give you a lot of Desi kids. Again, if you incorporate, you could write off your mortgage, gas and food expenses.

Hope you got the idea. Think on these line. These ideas were given just to kindle your mind and to help you form a different way of surviving Canada.

Peace by a PD

Most of the companies that advertise such things are fake and they want you to buy their directory or buy their starter kit. Even if you find one, I doubt it will pay even equivalent to minimum wage.
