Nope.
Kijiji.com has a lot of cleaning ladies who advertise.
We paid $ 60 for a 4 hour clean up of our apartment (using the maid's tools/ supplies).
The lowest rate that I found was $ 15 an hour with out supplied and $ 20 an hour with supplies. For first time users they lower the rate to get customers.
Of course, there are a lot of refugee ladies who can cook and clean for you for a very low rate. However, they are mostly located in the Scarborough area and you have to provide transportation for them.
With the recession, you can find these people dime to a dozen. If you have cash here, you are the king.
Peace

TK, I do not have any personal grudge against you, but for a person who complaints about racism and favouritism, I thought you might be more sympathetic towards new immigrants. You may be just stating the facts or harsh realities, but I feel that any immigrant who has gone through the struggle would prevent future immigrants from going through same struggle. Here you are indirectly implying that there is nothing unethical in exploiting any new immigrant.

Meghal,
You did not read my post fully. I said "Refugee's" and not "immigrants". In Canada, refugee's are people who come through the back door (like false visa, being smuggled, etc.. The real refugee's are -as an example-, sri lankan tamils in India).
I was just making a note of what many people already know and use their service.
However, being in CD this long, we both know that most of the people in this forum donot agree that Canada govt. has cheated the professional immigrants into coming here and having them lead a very bad life (which is a reality). So I am assuming that they also will not like these refugee's who have come here by breaking the law / protocols and hence will NEVER use their services.
Peace by TK
