I have tried various brands of Indian attas (flour) available in Canada but have'nt made a fovourite yet.I find most of them make very dry chapattis.....they are OK to eat immidiatly but if I keep it for next day, they get very dry and cracked.

Can you share which one do you use and how do u rate it?
(I use only whole wheat).

We normally use Golden Temple durum wheat flour. It's available in the yellow or white 2 lb/10 lb/20 lb formats in most supermarkets (No Frills, Loblaws, Price Chopper, Indian grocery stores, etc.). We've been able to make very soft chapatis with it.

It is made in Canada, if you care about that.

Pilsbury .... ( the one from the UAE )

Try plastic wrapping the chapatis and freezing .

hi friends,
just wanted to share, last week bought Priya Atta (Priya is famous brand frm andhra), and its soooooo good, just like we get atta in india, chapatis come out very soft, even the next days they were soft.
i called up the dealer(found his details on the website mentioned on atta pack), and got 6bags, i m not sure whether it will be in regular supply,so didn't want to take chance.
do try this atta, its worth...i have tried golden temple, nirav, nature's best, parle g,ashirwad but this one is the best.
