Praying in schools makes someone radical.. nice analogy..

I used to go a to a Bahai boarding school , kids were of all faith and religions and we all had a mandatory prayer every evening.. not one person has turned radical.

I think hindus and Christians are far more radical than u are willing to accept..

During Bombay riots in 93 , 550 muslims were killed and 250 hindus were killed.

Godhra riots 790 muslims were killed 250 hindus..

Does that mean all temples should be burnt down... does it mean all hindus are radicals..

I remember in my Engg practicals batch we had a muslim girl in our class and she was harrased to death by one of my class mates just because she was a muslim and we had to literally beat that guy up to stop doing it..

If anyone remembers the holocuast then u should know that a less pointed out fact was that the Nazi's were christians.

What u say and do makes u a radical.. not what religion u belong..

Radicals are never friend of any country/culture, they are only loyal to their radical ideology.

Bahai are multi-faith so no chance of them turning radical

If any girl was harassed because of her religion, I would beat that guy too, regardless of his religion or reason.

Again, having a secular is best. Why spoil these young people's minds with religion in school? If some one wants to pray they are all welcome to do it outside the campus. My two cents

Quite right - what you say and do is based on what you hear and learn and believe in .

Religion is one of the strongest beliefs people have ....

If your religion or its common mis interpretation is bent upon make you believe other wise ..... how long can you save yourself from succumbing ...

Ever wondered why some religions are more radical than others ?

Ever wondered why most terrorist groups belong to a few religions and not others ?

Ever wondered why some religions are so difficult to co exist with ?? .. its a universal phenomenon ...

Ever wondered why there s has been so much disturbance in Pakistan recently .........

Religion is a strong persuader .... and easily mis interpreted and followed other wise .........

Why I am against this step is because I fear that religion being such a strong binding / dividing force may lead to religion based groups in schools which is undesirable in a place like Canada ............. not that it may not already exist to a certain degree but such steps may make it worse .

And why not - you come with a list of minuscule numbers and claim it to be the norm !!!

Praying and prayer rooms at workplaces is not a norm in Canada as most of the people DO NOT need to pray at work !!!

Same goes for the schools and other public places ... LET US NOT CHANGE THE VERY FABRIC THAT BINDS US TOGETHER ..... CO EXISTENCE ..

This is my take: there is no place for religion in schools in Canada.

Well, if the liberals in Ontario do it, I am not surprised. They pander to communities and religions because they have "their" interest in mind, and not the larger interest of the community. Was it not the liberals who planned to have sharia courts in the matter of "arbitration"?. Then the Jews wanted their own courts based on judaism.

If that was allowed, we would have had a Hindu court, a shariah court, and so on.......

We have allowed turbans, beards and head scarves. Let us stop there and not have Muslim prayer meetings. Then we would have to build a temple, a synagogue and a Sikh gurudwara to be built in each school.

Let us not confuse pandering to one community or vote bank with "tolerance". They are totally different concepts.
