Yes and yes on both counts .... if you want to see it go to Pearson airport, you will find a multifaith room on both terminals and it is for staff and guests. They also have catholic mass every day .... you are welcome to attend.
Out of millions of offices in the GTA , you name one ... what about the balance 99.99% ??? ... Remember exceptions do not make the norm .

Also you have to keep in mind that this accomodation is provided because it forms part of human right in Canada. You know you are legally allowed to take two paid days off (in lieu of Christmas and Boxing day) .... based on your religion. Here is a supreme court verdict on case in 90's where a worker had taken a day of for easter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Alberta_Dairy_Pool_v._Alberta_(Human_Rights_Commission)
Though the number needed to validate this might run into 100s , I d be contend if you can give me 50 names and amongst them some major ones like Walmart , Bell etc .... please ...
Till date in the offices I have worked in Canada , I have not noticed a prayer room ....

Prayer room in not mandatory .... but it is an accomodation that is to be provided when asked for in writing. The company can refuse to provide the same and there are guidelines for that too. Similarly TDSB has provision for accomodating prayers in school and that is precisely what is being done in this school ... nothing more and nothing less.
Provision for prayer rooms as i said is based on requests by employees. Here are some blue chip companies that provide this facility
1)KPMG .... as mentioned earlier

Let those 40 more coming with correct mentions .
The whole idea is ridiculous not practical as neither of the places - work or school are meant to pray ... there are specific places meant for that ...
Plus who would pay for the absenteeism at work ... pray .. please explain that as well .... 'Oh yeah so there was a major power break down - sorry dude it was my time to pray '
