Any one coming from Mumbai in April End

Hi,

I am looking for a travel companion to accompany my mother in law from Mumbai to Toronto via Brussels around April end . This is first time she is travelling in International flight. I would appreciate if any of you who is planning to land in Toronto from Mumbai could help me in this regard.

Here is a suggestion to you, if no one is traveling on that day on the same flight.

Tell the Air lines you need an ESCORT Services At Brussels and TORONTO.

PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS

MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR TICKET: Make a reservation for a non-stop flight only. If that cant be done at the local airport, have Grandma driven to the nearest airport than can do a non-stop flight.

That does not work. There are no NONSTOP Flights.

MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR AN ESCORT: When you reserve Grandmas plane ticket, be sure to tell them Grandma will require an escort with a wheel chair; even if Grandma is ambulatory, she may not realize how far she has to walk in most airports. BE SURE TO REQUEST THE ESCORT SERVICE FOR ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF BOTH FLIGHTS.

CONFIRM ESCORT RESERVATIONS: Call again, before the flight to remind them you WILL need that escort and wheel chair. And call yet again, just to make sure, see if it is written on the ticket.

She may be a little late exiting the terminal after the customs check and baggage pick up, but she will be in Toronto for supper.

Are you still looking for companion. Actually my mother is also coming in April end or May first week (2014) from mumbai to toronto.

Please share your number, I can call you. If we dont find anyone at least my mom and your mother will come together. We can request for wheelchair for both of them.

Optionally you can ask for wheelchair. Fortunately the airport is smaller and as you can imagine most of the traverllers are Indian either going to US or Canada. So anyone would be happy to help. Once she starts from there, she does not have any other option but to come to Canada only so don't worry she will just be fine.
Good luck!

Also tell her to be aware of guys, who would be asking for money to fill up forms, assist in moving around airport etc.

If you're banking on Shatak to call you, you're probably out of luck. Shatak's post is dated 2013, and his mother-in-law is probably here by now
