Everything is hunky dory if you have a job or until you are able to get give people what they want, once they don’t need to you they discard you like trash!! Look what B of A did, they knowingly made mortgage application late so houses could get foreclosed and they could make money out of it!! What kind of of society is that!! I can see why you desi’s like US became just like India no one gives a dam what happens to others, it’s all about ‘moi and how can I make money!!

Amazing TK. looks like my IT security manager just hacked your ID. uh..but you are talking about IT'ians..and I am not in IT. But true, I should have spent this time on quality stuff than posting nonsense posts on this forum. But hey I am not the one with the signature of "most posts using single Avatar". so still a lot of catching up to do.
Time to lock up the post...lets start a new post TK.

Looks like you(OP) are already inclined towards immigrating to Canada or any other western country and you just want to get the hell out of India. All things considered, Canada would make for a good destination.

Relatively immigrant/immigration friendly govt, stabler economy(for now), proximity to US, presence of Indian community, flexible career/re-education choices etc.

However, the usual cliched caveat, "the grass always looks greener on the other side" applies.

As mentioned by some others, hospitality industry is not an easy industry to work in and settle quickly. If you are hoping for a nine-to-five kind of calm lifestyle, then you should be flexible enough to change your career, and it might make your move worthwhile.

So well said " the Grass looks Greener on the other side".

Especially People doing well in their present location, should think(twice).

Absolutely True
If you are already doing well, then, why bother to start from "zero" all over again.

As far as govt is concerned, what are your expectations? That they give you a job that too tailored for what you think you are best in? you must be kidding. I am not sure if there is any country in this world which offers the job with immigration. What this govt does is takes care of most basic necessities and most vulnerable elements of society. Child tax credits, accessible quality healthcare and quality education irrespective of income, OSA for the people who are not capable to earn are just some of the examples. Excellent infrastructure, safe living conditions and social system are some of the perks that you are getting in addition.
I am sure whoever went back to India must have tonne of complains for the govt over there as well...I dont have to list them here as you are living in those conditions.
Comparison to aircraft is amusing...

The all too familiar ridicule, talikng down "so you want that", so you want this" etc., as apart from the hurt caused deception to self and family is what keeps people away from sharing their personal experiences and forewarning potential victims.
The comparision to aircraft will not be amusing, if you think about it when you fly at 38,000 ft. You want the aircraft to be right every time you fly. Same should be with every immigrant landing in Canada. He had already dumped a well paying job, his close relatives and friends assuming that people around in Canada will be good to him. But he will see a different face when he has spent all his hard earned money and looking for return of goodwill.

All the talk about infrastructure, good roads, child tax benefits etc, will be meaningless, when the immigrant is struggling for a job and for a roof to live under.

If people have "tonnes of complaint against the Govt of India, find the same w.r.to Canada, they may as well not immigrate, unless of course they owe some money to the immigration consultant and the Canadian government in their previous birth.
