I had rogers internet for last few years. I has 120 GB usage and 35 mbps package and I was paying $38 including taxes. My term has come to end and when I called to renew, I was told that they have changed some policies and 50% discount is no longer available. I have to pay $62 now for same service. I have given them cancellation notice. I was confident that I can get around $40 deal by another provider.....I made calls to acanac, teksavvy,start.ca,bell. I didnot find any provider in that price range so far. Has the internet prices gone up in last year or so?
The best price out of all so far is by start.ca although I need to buy a modem for $100 and a router.

Has anyone used their service? Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I am in the same boat as you and will be switching to start in March if Rogers do not extend their current contract.
In most cases when you cancel - about 2 weeks before your actual disconnection date you will start receiving calls from their retention department to sign you back. So just sit on it since you can switch to start anytime if retention don't call with a reasonable offer.

I am with start for 3 months now. They have a pretty good service. My modem is a rental from them.
