I have always found Teksavvy to be a value internet providers and perhaps a big player amongst the resellers ..

Comparing on the websites , Teksavvy and Start's , it appears that Teksavvy gives a better choice in almost all plans ..How come you feel Start is better Cool Girl ?

BTW - what happened of the Mazda Facebook campaign .. did you win ?

I have'nt heard of this provider but I will do some search and if I decide to go with it...I will let you know. Thanks

i have been using them for 1 year now and no complaints ..they have promotions going around for FREE installation so also check into those before you order..

Hello Fido,

For 25 mbps plan, Teksavvy is 41.95+tax=$48 plus i have to buy $100 modem and router
for same plan Start is 39.95+5 (modem rental)+tax=$50 (no hassle of modem and router)

For Mazda, I ended up as 1st runner up. I got the votes and then it was on judges to choose the winner. When I went to mazda dealer to buy a car, I was told that Mazda had time deciding between me and the guy who won....did'nt win but it was good experience!

I need 25mbps which is $50.85 with tax and i have to but modem and router and also make a 1 year commitment....whereas Start is $50 with modem rental. They don't charge installation also when you are already cable user. So guess, start is better deal for me than xinflix. But thanks for recommending!

Teksavvy is reliable. Besides, this is a Canadian company with most of its personnel based locally. So you will be supporting a local business.

Thanks Cool Girl for the response . Yes you are correct for that plan .. especially since you already have cable set up ...

I m myself in a similar boat ditching Bell and now wondering if I should go with cable or stick to DSL ... I shall be going with Teksavvy though ...

Thanks for sharing the Mazda update ..I wish you could have made it .. it was so close !!

I have a queasy feeling that this START is a Canadian Major playing its hand on other fibroptic sellers. Only time will tell.

Here is something I picked up on the web. : http://smartcanucks.ca/how-to-terminate-your-rogers-tv-internet-home-phone-and-possibly-wireless-contracts-now/

Here is a link on KIJIJI, Looks like a switch and bait, but it is still worth it. The MODEM will be free for you after 16 months and your rate drops down by five bucks.
http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-computer-accessories-other-Unlocked-DCM425-475-476-Cable-Internet-Modem-Teksavvy-Acanac-Cik-W0QQAdIdZ524970605QQfeaturedAdZtrue

In these days of hard times, if you can get five bucks and TEKSAVVY does not want to match, then, they know that they have lost ONE GOOD NEW Customer. For them it will be cream on the top. For START it is a great start.

So, take it if it is available. Also these macines are good and reliable, won't fail you in a hurry. Go for a shortcut.

Iwill give you another link shortly with pros and cons also. get to know better before buying a service....
