Thanks BPF - I looked into it and apparently it was complicated to me .

So finally I have shortlisted 3 vehicles -- all 3 have odometer reading around 130K & come safetied and e tested .... I might take them un inspected.

Objective is to sustain these cars for 3-4 months and then re sell them off at least possible loss... and also to keep HST low as I cam not getting it back.


Please grade them as 1,2,3 keeping the above objective in mind.

Don't wait go with cash in hand.. bargain for 1000.

Just drive car... see there are not huge noise from engine... make full turn drive both ways

Imp: Check muffler carefully - ( if there are leak or smoke or engine light due to muffler then stay away from car ( catalytic converter can be costly to fix )

The car has been safety & e tested successfully by the owner. Both the docs are ready.

I have got the UVIP out from Service Ontario here .. appears the mileage is accurate and other things are also good as per that.

No negotiation possible ... Taking cash to Windsor tomorrow.... I guess it should be OK ....

Though I know that new safety regulations are coming to Ontario wef 1st July , since 42 years ago and I know that I would most likely junk this vehicle but if it serves me 3 months and I get 800/- salvage of it , I am OK.
