Hi,
Just wanted to know if there is a Private Dental coverage available for Immigrant Seniors (Parents/G'Parents)? As for the Govt. Health plans, I don't think they cover the Dental costs, such as cleaning, diagnostics, or anything advance. I even checked the PharmaCare (in BC, equivalent to the Trillium in ON), and that also doesn't cover Dental.
What is the most viable option? The Dentist's cost is tremendous if we go without any coverage.
What do you guys do or have opted for your immigrant parents? Also, how much is the cost, on an average.
Here is a little help in obtaining immediate services and if and when you explore, you might find some or most of it is free for elderly immigrants with NO Canadian Income.. So, avail the free services for your immediate needs.
Then explore the other paid services after analysis and obtaining proper Quotes from the Insurers, for your Parents after filling out their questionnaire.
Good Luck.
FH.

These Mobile Clinics will also do the services needed for your Parents.
But if extraction is needed, they only do one tooth at a time.

Thanks FH. Appreciate your help. I am going to check.
If your parents are senior and having less or no income , they may be entitled to free dental coverage in nearby Community Health Centers having dental services... However this may be restricted to necessary procedures and not cleaning etc.
