I agree with your point of view..however, like you mentioned you wouldnt have the liberty to call someone you dont know very well a 'lucky bastard'. I guess its the same with sexy vixen. When someone dear to you or close to you addresses you that way it can be an endearment or something said in good humour and jest. But a forum such as this would be made up of so many different people with different tastes and it is a congregation of people from so many different backgrounds, i guess it may be a little idealistic to expect everyone to feel the same way.

Without your long explanation, it would not have been justified to expect people to understand your intention behind choosing a name like that was just humour and lighthearted fun. Not everyone would have thought about it the way you intended it to be understood.
Guess its time to laugh about it and move on...

i read some of postings, i don't think these desi's will understand that concept you are trying to bring on to them. you are right to call most of them, peasants and backward. their strong belief in worshipping rats, snakes, monkeys, donkeys will never go away and you can not change it. cow shit and urine is still holy and and i have seen some of these desi's still practicing the use of it. especially the gajooratis. six of them gajooratis are also ganging up on you to enforce their dark ages belief.

no wonder why the white candians hate us all and given a name like "dirty Pakis".

I had initially thought of withdrawing from this discussion, but I thought I would not be doing justice to what I had wanted to convey and hence I am here again – perhaps for the last time on this thread – unless someone wants to have a good intellectual discussion on it.

Let me first apologize for conveying the message that I am offended by the word sexy vixen. No not atall. To me, a screen name is just a depiction of one’s thoughts, desires, likings and personality – or the work he/she is involved in. So seems to be the case with say Jake3D, Garvo Gujarati, Beautysalon, Biomed including my own as well as that of Guru 420!

What really offended me was the way the original discussion had progressed and whereby some persons kept on hammering not the individual, but the whole society. Now, I am one person who does not mind if someone calls me names or challenges me – but when someone who starts namecalling for the whole society, area, a group, I can’t stand that. So when one is calling all Indians backward persons, or all traditional (but in his implication to morons/unintelligent) persons as Biharis or Bangladeshis, or all persons who have been brought up in a society which shuns the word sexy in public as villagers and 60’s or 70’s generation, thereby calling them fools indirectly, that is what I will not like to accept as a mute audience- I feel that needs some action. And anyone who supports that view, directly or indirectly, by using the whole discussion to spit sarcasm, is like an accessory to a murder and equally guilty.

Thanks to such propaganda by persons like Guru 420 who only have the ill for others in their minds, and support either in mockery or sarcasm by people like Ottawa_Nerd, my community, even in today’s “modern India” of sexy vixens on TVs and cinema halls, is considered a community of thiefs and whores. And if I as an educated person do not fight against such generalizations, my education and upbringing goes to waste.

Others may choose to ignore their whole community ( implying thereby their parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, dada/dadi, nana/nani, friends, neighbors) being called names either directly or by implication, but I shall not, and will try my best to stop that – by the best method I know – retaliate personally.

I am a person with strong feelings – I react with my heart to both good things (eg. Nice post from Pinky Blinky), as well as derogatory remarks (quoted above). But I am neither a Mahatma, nor a Gandhi! Aisa hi hoon main!
