Guys, if you are comming to Toronto, u will land at Pearson airport.
But beware of the the guys who carry your luggage. U must be knowing that at airports u have some guys carry your luggage. In india u pay them around 20 ruppees and they are happy.
When I came to canada 4 years ago, I had a lot of luggage. These guys helped me carry my luggage to the Taxi and demanded 50 dollars. It is insane...They carry my luggage on the cart for around 100 metres, and demand 50 dollars. 50 Dollars is 1500 ruppees. It is insane. So REMEMBER. ALWAYS CARRY YOUR OWN LUGGAGE AND TAKE HELP FROM FAMILY MEMBERS. DO NOT LET THE LUGGAGE BOYS DO THAT WORK. ITS NOT WORTH PAYIN EVEN 30 DOLLARS COZ ITS NOT MUCH TO WALK AFTER U TAKE UR LUGGAGE.
You should have asked them charges for their service. Here nothing comes free except CD members helping community and their Desi brothern free. Being a new immigrant if you need any sort of advise/help, feel free to write or call at 416-305-0080.
Wishing you a bright future in Canada, The so called LAND OF OPPRTUNITIES.!!!!!!!!!!

DP,
Those guys are worst than our mavalis. They simply come to you and pickup your luggage. As you are coming first time, you are tired, since you travelled and got all other servies for free, and you have very huge picture about this so called number one country, you can easily assume that service for free.
Usually I advise anybody coming from India to keep few Canadian Dollars Coins and Quarters. (It would be difficult to get those from India). If you don't have those, locate the change machine get them and use the carts.
It is much easier, cheaper and convenient.
As said by bandhan, the distance is not much. You can easily do that.
