Hi,
I must appreciate the initiative taken by Canadian Desi. Is there anyway we can make this site known to more friends around? What about making it known to potential immigrants from Gujarat, who are more concerned and anxious to know things in this part of the world.
For example:
1. Identifying and coordinating Paying Guest Accomodations;
2. Airport pick-up for the ones who are strangers;
3. Cheap airline tickets;
4. Other queries, a new immigrant may have, etc.
Give some thought about it.
Its a good work, KEEP IT UP.

Thanks for your valued input. The stuff you have suggested is very good.
I have some sort of things on this site currently, but I think where you are going.
For example - I have Paying guest and sharing accomodation under classified section. That serves the purpose for now - but I can developed a kind of database where user just need to to query and he/she can get the information she wanted - mush like http://www.mls.com
Network for Airport pick-up is good idea, but requires lot of logistics. How many of us can register for that services? May be I can start one more category under classifed - where I can put "Air port pick-up and taxi services"? I have Ride section on this site, and I was thinking that people will post information there, but it has not got good response.
For air-line tickets, I whink we, the users of this site, should post information whenever we hear about good deals. That think will benefit people. Do you have any other ideas?
This forum is good place to ask questions. I encourage more and more people to participate here. What I see that we have 300 users but there are very few taking active interest in "Charcha". Please share your thoughts with others.

Hi GG,
I appreciate the time and thinking given by you for my suggestion.
In fact, my approach was to make it accessible to "potential new immigrants" from Gujarat, since many of us living in Canada, already have contacts and local presence to find PG's and Rides.
The potential new immigrants to Canada do not have any clue (look back to our own experiences) how things work here and how people react.
My point was: is there any way we can have some local people from Gujarat, who can be our counter-part to deal such arrangements? (let me make it clear here that I have a rented one bedroom appt. and I do not intend to go now or in future for any PG's, so it is absolutely out of my personal interest!!).
What could be the best way to make it known to people in India?
I will give some more input during the week.
