I am not bitter. I hold a very good job and earn in US dollars.

There is no happiness in peoples lives or faces here. Only a miserable existence.

I dont need to really care about others if I wanted to.

I feel really sad for a lot of talented people and who come with dreams but end up miserable and struggling throughout their life.

......and again.......

Here there is no talent but sheer luck or destiny that would give you a life.

So you got lucky?

No one has any real praise for this country nor does it motivate people here.

If you get out of your ghetto sometime, you might change your opinion!

I do not know how many aspiring immigrants go to Globe and Mail website from India but they should be making an informed decision. Immigrants should know before applying that for a particular profession you will need Canadian education or certification or whatever that applies. Some jobs require certification and some do not.

Just because you qualify for immigrating to Canada on the basis of points does not mean you will get a job that you like in Canada.

Right on.

Most immigrants I have come across do their homework very well. Sometimes they know more about the system than I do (e.g. benefits and goodies offered by the government). As you said, qualifying for immigration does not mean that there is a job waiting. Gone are those hitech boom.

Forget about home work before immigrating to Canada. Now Canadian immigrants are becoming global labours. Recently a trend in recruiting Canadian immigrant completed citizenship period as technician or shop floor operator by US companies. A Textile Engg. for operating extruders, Metulargy Engg for lab technician testing metals and Civil engineer for overlooking projects. Salaries offered are in range of USD 12 - 15 / hr.
Any thoughts?

Nothing surprising. As I have stated previously this country is not for professionals but for ordinary mortals and failures who arrive here.
Immigration policy sucks by allowing evey body inside this country especially in ontario.
I have seen enough in this idiotic country. Where ever you go you see stupid and uncultured people.
Only 1 % of people are really cultured or have class and education.
This country is not for talented people.Look at quality of people here pathetic.

This a corrupt and rotten place for educated professionals.
For mediocre people its heaven as thats their limitation.

I totally totally agree with you my friend. This is country is not for educated people. Its only good for people who never went to school and are happy driving a truck or working in a factory as labourers.

Aren’t you the same bloke that can’t spell ‘decision’?

If nothing else, some of those ‘uneducated-people-living-in-Canada-supposedly-lifting-boxes’ can at least spell better than you!

On a different note, you might do well to appreciate that there’s a whole lot of immigrants that do a lot better than lifting boxes or working as laborers in factories – so don’t generalize.

So it is very clear that so called 'educated' people could not do anything in India (so they came to Canada) and now cannot do anything in Canada to make life worthwhile! If that be the case, it is better to be uneducated and never go to school than to be educated and waste money, time, energy and then whine about things!
