how to maintain PR status while working on H1 in U.S

Hi experts,
pl guide me how can I maintain my PR status while working on H1 in U.S.Iam PR for last 1 year and I have been told that I have to stay for 2 years in 5 yrs to maintain PR.
If my employer in US opens a company in canada and he makes me employee of that canadian company and then he transfers me to U.S.In this way can I maintain my PR .

where in the US are you? you have to have 3 yrs out of 5 physical presance in Canada to keep up the PR. I think there is a rule for ppl working for canadian companies abrad and that is you get half a day for each day. but yo keed to reconfirm that. I have heard of ppl living in windsor or vancouver and shuttleing to detroit or seattle to work . that works.

Your boss's idea to open a candian company and work for it in US does seem workable, but you need to check how that affects your H1-if at all. Each day is counted as full day, dont worry.
