The SMPS unit (power supply) generally comes with a dual voltage switch .I wonder if the monitors also have any similar provision.
Otherwise u can bring a voltage convertor from Indian itself.

Deal With Reality or Reality Will Deal With You
Dont bother getting a PC from India. You will get a cheaper and good PC in Canada. Cant go wrong here.
if in Toronto check out:

http://www.factorydirect.ca
http://www.canadacomputers.com
These are only some places that sell refurbised and good computers or off lease systems.
You can easily buy a good PC here through Bargain Finder or similar publications in the part of Canada you are in.

Answer would depend upon your financial planning and if you already own one..
Coz if you do.. sell that in India and get new one here.. see how numbers stack up there.. for abt 500/600$ you should get decent desktop for graphics/games etc.. even cheaper if you want only for emails/internet..
If however you are coming with less dollars... what you spend here would be out of your own pocket and out of your settlement funds.. which is not big.. but at-least in first few days giving out cash in that amount is gonna hurt..
more importantly.. get as much s/w as possible.. Win XP itself costs 99$ here.. virusScans.. games, accounting s/w , quicken, money.. I always used to get it from India.. Books, clothes, s/w, cheaper to get from India..
