Hi,
Me and my wifer are canada PR holder. I am working since a month in winnipeg. My baby is born in USA. My wife and baby are in india.
My question is
Can my wife and baby travel to canada with no problem?.
Acutally I called CIC reps couple of times about the issue, but thier answers are doesnot match with each other. I am decided to bring my baby to canada and sponsor from here.
Please suggest me whether I am going in right direction or not?. I don't want my family in trouble at the port of entry at toronto.
I would appreciate your suggestion.
Thank you
Vennala
The baby will travel on his/her own US passport and enter Canada as a visitor. You will then apply for baby's immigration.
Thank you for prompt reply. As you mentioned I am planning to bring my kid next weekend. Please Can u tell me on what grounds i can sponsor him? I see one is that humanatian... or regular processing?
Thanks!!!!!!!!
Hi
Kumar could you please tell me that what they ask at port because I am also planning to bring my family. They issue the visitor visa for how long ?. I would appreciate if you provide me your e-mail. or contact no.
Thanks
Vick
My wife and kid were reached to winnipeg on sep 15th. It is not at all difficult to bring your family, if they are US Citizens.
Per my wife(she is canada PR) immigration officer asked my wife about
1. My son passport
2.Invitation Letter to my son .- I said in the invitation that I got job and bring my kid with you
3.Asked how long he is going to stay?( My wife answered that he is going to with me permanently)
Though he is coming with his mom .
I heard that the Invitation letter is needed if one of parent is absent with kid.
And I did not see any stamp in his passport about his validity or visa. I enuiry about this with CIC and they told me that if passport doesn't have stamp that means he can stay for six months and need to apply one month before for extention if he wants to stay longer. I have applied for his PR hopefully he will get it before his visitor term expires if not i need to apply for ext of stay.
If you need further info please send email to
Best of Luck.
Kumar
Hi,
I have a US born 22 month old daughter. She arrived in Canada on a visitor visa in the last week of December. (Mississauga)
I am in the process of completing the documentation for her PR. Will appreciate if the group can help me with the following questions
1. My daughter was in Europe for a year, 4 months in US and in India for over 8 months. Will I have to get Police Cleareance from all the 3 places for my daughter or are infants/toddlers exempt from Police cleareance.
2. Since, she is a US citizen, her file will go to Buffalo for processing. Can I do her medical in Canada.
Appreciate your help
As you go through application, you can find all the information regarding your baby sponsorship.
1. You don't need to get poilce certificate for your baby.
2. Medicals are required for your baby and get it in your place and ask them to send those medicals to buffalo processing center not CPC missigua
ofcousrse you will send your application to CPC center in canada.they will forward to buffallo center.
In my case till now I got one query, that is I sponsored my baby. But they asked my wife NO OBJECTION STATEMENT. I would suggest same from you if you are sposoring your child . If you and your wife are sponsoring then I don't think STATEMENT is required from your wife.
By the way did your kid is covered under govt. health insurance. for my kid NO, manitoba is refused to covered him and i took private insurance which is not so useful unless if it is emergency.
Good luck,
Vennala
