just wantt to share and also want to know your experience if it doesnt bother u.
I applied through Mississauga, and everything is going fine . on the test day he asked me for my ID and I presented my driver license but is was of Alberta not of Ontario. he asked me why did not I changed my DL. and I told him I did not need yet as I am not driving here in ON. Then he asked me till how long you are here in Ontario I tell him dates which is more than one year, then he asked r u working now I told him I was working but laid off and I was on EI but my EI also finishes up last month and I am still trying to find work. He asked for my passport I give him he checked the dates whcih matchs with applications however there were 2 more stamps on my passport during the period in which I was out of Canada. he didnt asked me anything after. and give me my docs back and handed me card for test. I asked him in last is everything is fine,,he told me that yes its fine. i give test and comeback. I am not sure as he was writing some remarks on file and which I dont know.
However your experience is little different, and one of my friend wife also applied and she also lives in USA sometimes and they handed him a RQ on the test date. I am not sure ,,and I know those ppl are not even citizenship officers mostly volunteers as I had my test on saturday,, and I am preety much sure their permanent employees dont work on saturdays.
so could you share more please. wish you the best of luck
thanks and Bye
