Just want to know that if someone has UK or USA driving license, can it be swapped with Ontario driving license. If so, does one need to appear for G1 test also cuz I have read somewhere that even though the licences from these countries can be swapped yet appearing in G1 is mandatory. Please share.

I can only speak about US driving license.
Yes, it is possible to swap US license for a G license in Ontario if your US license is a full license (i.e. not just an ID), and has been effective for at least 3 years.
If you have only a driving ID from the US (i.e. not full license), you will have to write the G1 test and get only G1 here.
If you have full license but it is less than 3 years, you will get Ontario G2.
If you have full US license for 3+ years, you can swap for G license without any test (written or driving).
These used to be the rules when I immigrated in 2003, but things may have changed now.

If you have a full driving license for 3+ years, no G1 or G2 test is required.
Again, my experience in swapping license for over 10 years ago, so you should check the latest by calling Ontario MTO.
