any of you guys working on Oracle Finance and know of any good Oracle Finance training institutes in Toronto?

Hi,

I was also looking for the same information (Oracle financials training institutes in Toronto). Can someone share any information on the institutes and your experiences with them?

My second question was, is it good to do this training? The many jobs I see in Canada ask for Oracle financial work experience, will learning it at a functional level (I mean a user) will help?

The cost of oracle finanical in india is around 4 to 5 lakhs. I am not sure abt the fees in canada. There are plenty of jobs for oracle finanical experts in india,canada and US. FIDO can suggest a good institute for oracle financial.Certification is very important. This course is strongly recommended

Though I am not aware of Institutes in Toronto , one is safe to go ahead with Oracle Authorized ones who refer to official Oracle curriculum .

In India this costed around INR 1- 2 lacs in 2006 . Not sure of the current prices . In Hyderabad , one can do Oracle Financials unofficially for INR 8- 10 K .

Training is one aspect , experience is the one which teaches you ...

My husband works on Oracle financials in his office (for past 6 years, Canadian company) and he never had training neither any orientation from office on it and still is an expert in it. He refused me to go ahead for training and suggested to learn it on the job; his point is if your accounting logics and concepts are strong no program can be a challenge. I was in two minds as all jobs in Canada ask for a previous experience or working knowledge. If this is so expensive I rather learn from him in his office.

Is it really worth spending 1500 CAD? Anybody who has taken training from this institute? Experts please guide.

the site looks very cheapo and there is no location in contact us, so i wud not recommend wasting 1500 dollars.. only go to places that are authorized by oracle.
