Hi ,
I wish to go for the following and seek a final opinion before I sign up.
Cellphone : Sears / Nokia 1208 GSM (14.95/60mins/month) ... http://www.searsconnect.ca/index.php?id=84 I love this phone.
Neither Searsconnect (3c/min) nor Call Select (3.9 c/min) are willing to attach long distance service to VoIP . I have 2 choices .
Primus Land Line + high speed internet bundle 65/-
Rogers Landline + high speed intenet 75/-
I am planning to go ahead with Rogers . Is that ok ?
Since I m shifting to an apartment building Rogers TV appears to be an obvious choice as perhaps they do not allow satelite connections such as Bell in condo / apartment buildings . I hope this presumption is also correct.
Thanks ...

I have a blackberry with 1000 min, unlimited evenings &weekends, incomeing free for $40 at Rogers. The data plan sucks Rogers are nice folks you just have to fight them now and then for prices. Plus Rogers is the only GSM provider (more roaming) others are all CDMA. I think Globalive owner of YAK are the new fourth wireless provider with 3G GSM which is cheaper than the mass 2.5G deployed by Rogers. I also use Rogers high speed internet at $65, it gives a much higher speed than 785kpbs..oops I hope Roger is not reading this.
On the phone it is strictly VoIP. I use CommWave for the last yr at $9.95 adds up to $14 with India and US calls. Only problem sometime I can use it for fax and other times it needs to be reset. Other then that it is smooth sailing.
I heard lots of complain on Primus maybe they have improved since then.

And for cell phone, Im with Koodos. Did not have to sign a contract, no monthrly service charge. i pay about $34 per month includes 100 minutes day time, unlimited incoming and free after 7pm and weekends.
From this month Bell is increasing rates. Basic home phone service would cost 32.95 rather than 18.95 until last month. Anyone planning to fight (how?) or switch (where?). Do we have any choice?
Thanks in advance
VOIP from acanac.
$120/year in front. If you don't like, you can get 100% refund in one month.
