Interesting. I haven't noticed that big of a difference in my p2p downloads...

Who is your ISP?

i'm with teksavvy and they don't do any throttling but since it's retail from Bell so i can see the speed (P2P sharing) difference between peek hours.

I am with Rogers. My p2p activity is overnight and I am rarely awake to monitor it. What I haven't noticed is a dip between 4:30 and 12 to 1AM...

3Web, Acanac, TekSavvy are wholesalers who use the Bell Network. Bell has decided to throttle all traffic even if it belongs to the wholesalers and the CRTC deemed it to be okay (Jai ho Canada ;) )

Some areas may see more throttling while some may not see any throttling. It depends on how congested (or perceived congestion) a particular area may be.

You can check on this website - http://broadband.mpi-sws.mpg.de/transparency/bttest.php to see if you are being throttled.
