Sometime back, there was a promotional ad on Canadian Desi home page. This was supposesdly from Bell, offering 3 month internet free. Anyone had that? Any expirience??
Today, I got a call (caller said) from Bell; offering me 3 month free internet to try. I want to know if anyone have this before.

I had this promotion before (4 years or so ago).
It's basically a credit that they applied to the bill.
It's the same service, nothing less.
You do need to sign a contract though.
At that time, I had signed up for a 1 year term to get the 3 months free.

Standard practice to get you into a contract. If the service is okay, no harm. Rogers had such a promotion on cable and called them to disconnect at the end of it and I was transferred to their retention department that extended the offer. That may or may not work with Bell as well.

They will normally extend you some or the other promotions.
Right now, I am at $10 off each month for the next year.
Almost the same as 3 months off.

I do not have issues with Bell but they do not have the speed in this area that I am looking for. I need a faster internet. I guess other than Rogers there is not a better option as well.
I have used 3 months free internet from bell and rogers. I got that deal from Futureshop. I dont know still you could get it or not but I didnt have to sign any contract. Only thing you need to remembeer is call 1 month before free bee expires to say that you want to continue or not?...otherwise you will be getting charge

I also got 3 months free from bell without any contract.I had some technical issues so they gave me another couple of months free.But I was not satisfied with customer service, so I gave 1 month notice and cancelled the account.
