What happens is we all are willing to do odd jobs & struggle for one year or so. In this time, we try to get jobs in our field, apply for interviews which never come (even for entry-level jobs) or you get rejected for jobs.

Kids also spend more time in front of TV because you cannot afford to take them out due to low income, lack of vehicle, weather, etc. People also have taken loans, etc. to come to Canada & you have to repay that too.

When you don't see progress in your career, that is when you start having negative thoughts. Many people do get jobs in their fields & do well subsequently. The people who don't have problems adjusting to Canada.

There is approximately a waitlist of 500000+ prospective immigrants who have qualified, applied and waiting. . Officially around 250000 immigrants are allowed to enter Canada each year.Not to speak of student visa and work permit holders . So no matter how much is written in these posts there are atleast 100 desis waiting to come for each desi ready to leave.

Why don't we have a column or thread which reads "INCORRIGIBLE PESSIMISTS"? We can have all these losers howl, gripe, complain and get their feelings out?

I logged on to Canadian Desi to read the latest on immigrant issues and just happened to read this thread. So much of pessimism.... It can make anyone feel low about his/her life here in Canada. Hey, U pessimistic, "no job" holders, please give us a break. Stop cribbing just for the sake of it. U may have whatever substance in what u say (or so, u may think). But I am sure that (before u left India), U must have left no stone unturned to convince all your friends and relatives that u were the smartest of the lot and that is why u got the visa....and that your decision to migrate to Canada was the smartest thing anyone could come up with. Remember that the High Commissioner did not go to your home or office with a filled out application form for you. And even now you are not shackled. Leave if you want to. But give us a break. Let, those who want to work hard, work here, leave them to their own fate. Donot try to be God to others when you are so dissatisfied with your own decisions in life.

I think its a bunch of losers who keep compalining...please stop complainig becoz nobody is listening..I me an I do but now I have less respect for folks like you...if you dont like it here...please go back and hopefuly when folsk like you go back ..then may be it will create a better environment for newly landed immigrants...
