Has any Desi carried their pets with them while moving to canada from India .
Want to know their experience on transporting them via which airlines etc etc.

We had our dog Sent to us from india via Continental Airlines. They have a program called petsafe. Here is the link:

They have stringent rules about the name of the particular vet who has to examine your pet - how long before travel (I think it is 48 hours maximum). You can also pay a small additional fee - I think it is approx $100 however what they will do is take your pet out of the kennel when it reaches the first stop and give it water, clean its kennel and give it exersize. We paid for this because we wanted to ensure the dog's health/safety.
Using Continental also was good because you can follow the shipping online and see where at any given time the dog is.
I know other airlines offer pet travel services however I found Continental to be the most comprehensive and caring. Contact me by prvt msg if you have any further questions.
