Hi below is the situation my wife is going through
MY wife laid -off : 19 Dec 2008
Received EI+Maternity : 19 Dec 2009
She received regualr EI Benefit : 22 weeks
Convert her file receive Maternirt Leave : 15 weeks
Parental Benefit : 08 Weeks
till 19Dec 2009 and she can take benefit for only within 1 years.
Now her previous employer call her for work and she started working again 40hrs/ week.
Now if she works 4 months she can finish working 600hrs, which is minimum require for the benefit.
The four months will be finishing on 15 May 2010.
My question is
Can she able to take Parental leave till my baby turns 1 year (She borns on first week os Sept 2009) i.e 1st week of 2010.
If anybody goes through this situation please let me know. Any idea/ Please advice
