Not really .... You can always go to a Church / Buddhist monastery ... not sure if mosques allow non muslims ...
Religion my friend is a faith , a belief ......... You have problems with 33 zillioins Gods , other may have problem with a book written by some mortal .... and yet others may worship mortals .... And yet others may not worship any God / religion ...
Problem is not in the diversity .......... problem steps in when we start becoming intolerant of others beliefs .......... Shia Sunni rife , Ahmadiyya rife , Hindu Muslim rife ................................ all this is caused by human intolerance .
Let other s live their way as long as they are not infringing on others' rights is the key to peace ........ so difficult to follow for humans ....

Sir ... cool down .......... in my personal opinion Sikhs are not Hindus ...... they are 2 different religion ... BUT as with other religions like Jainism / Buddhism which spawned out of Hinduism , Sikhism also spawned out of Hinduism and since they are closely interspersed in living regions and cultures , they are at very good terms , much like brothers .........( barring some tragic events of the past ) ..
Not sure what caused what , but even today and the past in the society that I have lived in in India as well as else where Sikhs are just like brothers to Hindus and vice versa ...... I do not wish to comment on controversies as I may not know much about them ....
MGupta ji , a slight difference of opinion please ... what you say may hold good for Rajputs being Kshatriyas and fighting the invaders but Sikhism as a religions was coined by Guru Gobind Singh as Khalsa s with the help of Panj Pyare .........
The previous Gurus were Gurus for all with no separate religious entity but with Guru Gobind Singh ji the entity was different as the religion had to be built on sacrifice ....

What you say is also correct ..... but I have generally found Sikhs to be mostly honest and hard working .............. its perhaps the proportion of bad apples to good which generate the expression ...
Haven't been to Punjab a lot , but know for sure that its one of the most prosperous states of India ...... and unlike Bihar / UP , not notorious for corruption .

This is a very complex question / riddle and it cant be decided without a meeting over drinks. Lets decide it over free flowing drinks and discussion, who all can come to have a solution of this can inform me. We can have get a meeting in mississauga/ brampton/ Toronto. Anyone you can beat me in drinks can announce that sikhs are Hindus. Now select a representative and challenge me. Sikh is waiting ................ Lets end this topic end with a drink............
Did i forgot to tell you that the per capita consumption of Alcohol is highest in Punjab.
