I agree, as a father perhaps there is a feeling to compensate for not being able to carry her in the womb.... A father tries to full-fill that all his life by showering all the love, at-most care, affection and everything....

Think of it positively. As a parent you fulfilled your duties (as usual, some will disagree with this statement)
Your daughter has gone off to start the next phase of her life. As a caring and loving dad you need to motivate and support her. How can you support her, if you yourself are feeling low.
