Hi Guys,

Has anyone applied for parents sponsorship in Aug 2011 (before they put new parents applications on hold)

I have applied in Aug 2011 but not received receipt or any acknowledgement from CIC yet. Not even a file number.

When can I expect any communication from CIC?

Hi mthaker,

I had applied for parents sponsorship in may 2011 and still waiting for the acknowledgement letter or file number.

I called CIC once, I was told that whatever the CIC website suggests is the current status and CIC Website says "Issuing acknowledgement letters for applications received on April 29, 2011" from last may 2011 and it never got updated.

I think you also call CIC and try your luck..
