I have not seen any posts from CDs about this, just sharing for everyone's knowledge.

If anyone wants to attend they need to apply for a free ticket through one the 331 registered partners. There are no direct individual tickets.

The event is taking place at Ricoh Coliseum on April 15th - which is a working day. Not sure how many can make it - the target is have around 11000 attendees.

Please visit : http://pmvisit.ca/ for more information.

On the lines of the Mahatma statue installed and opened in London, Modi can consider bringing up a memorial. But people who are more loyal to the crown than the Queen herself, will they like it?

Please change the thread headline to 'Canada' instead of Toronto. He is also making a stop to Ottawa and Vancouver.

I know this site is GTA centric by and large, but should include other Cities wherever required and warranted. Canada doesn't live in GTA only.

These cheap people will give you free tickets and then shamelessly BEG for donations from you.

Same as the cheap people sitting in indian embassies asking for renunciation fees, surrender certificate fees, cancelling your old & expired pass port fees.

NRI/PIO/OCI people are cash cows for these beggars..they can't loot them in India anymore..so they come here begging for more money & investments from NRI's.

And, why's that? Why should Indian politicians and freedom fighters' statues are required in Canada? I am a firm believer in Gandhian ideology myself and try to follow his principles. However, instead of these symbolism, Canadian Parliament should start tangible guilt consciousness/apologies for their high handedness during racial times, e.g. Komagata Maru incidence.

There's no need of Mahatma Gandhi's statue here. Instead, Indian Govt. should've constructed a bigger one in Gujarat in the place of the proposed Patel's, or may be beside him - as a new project.

If Modi really needs to do something for Indo-Canadians, then he should start from abolishing his own Govt.'s/bureaucracy's nightmarish procedures at VFS, BLS, and/or High Commissions. That would be enough from him, as far as I am concerned.

Furthermore, what is the difference between Crown and Queen, by the way? I thought, they are one and synonymous - if you are loyal to the Crown then also to the Queen as well. There's an allegiance written in the constitution.

Thanks for pointing that out, will edit the title - That said, the link I posted is specific for Toronto and members who wish to participate on that date/location. I have no information about his other engagements so cannot comment/share. If there is anything you wish to share, feel free to.
