Are you there?
BL Bro and Gravo
Setting up and running a board is a commendable step but not the end of the story.
We live in a imperfect world.
If you guys let everyone spit the garbage they have i their heads on this board it might recoil big time on other prospective immigrants from south asia as all they read is this baseless crap on this board.
Besides there is this tremendous waste of bandwidth which ultimately is not free, loss of goodwill among south asians recent immigrants.
You guys should monitor this board with more ruthlesness.
To speak in derogatory terms about other human beings, regardless of whichver culture or country they may be from is one of the worse thing an educated person can do. This kind of behaviour will not let this board help immigrants.
Its time to be more strict.
Who the heck says that canadian government gives a rosy picture or lies to people applying to immigration. If you read the offical immigration booklet, they state there very clearly, that most probably, you can not find a job in your field easily, you may have to do low income jobs and you may need to get canadian education or experience. Further ther eare no preference for immigrants from Europe etc. Regarding preference of white people in Jobs, its almost in every culture. Does not in india, people got hired if they belong to the same caste..Be hopeful and give your best to this country. Canada

no body is objecting to negativity.
But there is difference between being critical and being an idiot spewing baseless crap.
As has been mentioned clearly here by many others, Canadian immigration is a chance for you to come in and prove YOURSELF. This is not a work visa.
The matter of shame is that the skilled immigrantstrying to settle themselves should be asking and learning form thsoe who have been succesfull. But instead of that they are indulging in cheap personal attacks and useless rambling.
Hi Guys,
In less than 36 hrs of this post, it has attained second highest popularity on the forum. Therefore, as per the stastical, logical & rational thinking; the problem does exist. Some of the members would agree to it and few would disagree to agree to the problem.
I would like to answer to Crenshaw question; Canada could have brought labour on work permit. Your solution looks pretty simple, but if a company sponsors for a labour. They have to spend for the process charges and assure a minimum working hours of 40 or 44 weekly. And they can not just chuck them out and get new labour but have to contribute to the progress of the labour in terms of promotion etc. Current work scene of Canada is that job agencies are supplying labour to a major portion of companies, without any liability on the part of companies (ford and GM are few giants). It is easy for a company to terminate a contract of employee just by switching job agency. They are free to adjust working hours. Lot of labour working for McDonal, Burger King...gas stations get 25 - 30 working hrs/weekly. Can they afford to do that if they get labour on work permit. Try to think beyond your company and your standards. HRDC is putting up a show, why do we try to appreciate that. And if Canada offered PR to us, it is because of various reasons. Yes there are few facility of Canada better than our home countries..........but Canada education system do talk of one fact, Don't force your kid to choose field let your child decide what they want to be. But why with immigrants they are forcing them to choose labour (field) instead of perusing what they had chosen and studied for.
Still after tons of replies, positive and negative to my theory there is no solution to this problem......other than improve on language skill.
My idea of presenting this theory was........if CIC cannot provide reasonable argument for qualified professional going for labour job, let us put forward a theory and let them find answered to it.
A professional with qualification and experience cannot find a suitable job after sufficient time it is fault of system. Do you think that unemployment rate does not effect election? Then why speedy process to regularise qualification of foreign trained profession was the fore front agenda of all the political parties in the election campaign.
It has been reported on this thread "CIC never promised employment in respective field and they suggest to take additional courses / work experience to get desired job".......well, first of all try to reason out....if you appear for an interview of Software Engineer and on day of joining they ask you to clean all the wash rooms of office.......what will be your reaction??? for immigration our qualification and work experience is being evaluated or at least we are informed of.......let CIC answer to this...for a engineer with a degree and say 4 years of experience (minimum requirement of CIC) and appears for an interview of shift engineer( starting point for any engineer) what additional qualification are required by him.......for the experience....unless you don’t provide it where is that engineer going to get it.......so it is govt. job to provide the necessary experience to that shift engineer......
we talk a lot of retirement theory......is this retirement going to take place through out the hierarchy or somewhere at the top level or somewhere at the labour level........or uniform through out the hierarchy......CIC is also busy churning out figures ..........so why not immigrants churn out a theory to give them taste of their medicine................
Beyond this I would like all senior, junior member, new comers and yet to come in, to suggest NEXT STEP...............
We want acceptance of qualification and not job surety…equal chance to compete and not reserved seats...................
