Bravo desis
This kind of "civilized, mutually tolerant and humble discussion" reminds me why I did the right thing by getting out of that stupid society.
Guys,
This is an interesting topic and lets keep the discussion pleasant.
In my humble opinion , lets tryo to add a dash of humility in our posts.
I too used to be like Crenshaw in some of my posts, but i am learning .....humility will win you a lot of friends ....arrogance will only spell doom....no matter how polished one's english is.

All of us who are in field job or factory job are well aware that immigration policy is not in place for Canada. Let us agree to the fact that returning back to desh is not the solution. It is one-way ticket we bought to come here.............
If scientist and researchers had not proposed theory and hypothetical statements, do you think man would have walked on moon?
Nobody knows of the facts, what went behind doors to get Immigration law passed.
What I am saying is correct. Today I am not in a position to fight CIC, but someday you will read about this in newspaper like Toronto Star, and our senior desi will be publishing link everywhere.
1. I presume you had never been to Canada prior to landing here as an immigrant. You 'bought a one-way ticket' to a place you didn't know..........and you can't go back. Where I come from, that is either desperation or stupidity.
2. As far as hypotheses and theories are concerned, they have to make sense to warrant any attention. Else they are just going to be perceived as the rantings of a frustrated man.
3. You guys all talk so much about suing the CIC. Good luck to you, do keep us posted about your progress.
You've got another quote somewhere about challenging the Ontario board of education and your wife starting to teach. If she speaks English the way you write, my sympathies with the kids in that school, I sure wouldn't want mine there.
Just wondering, did you take an ESL course after coming here to Canada? Oh yeah wait, maybe your ESL instructor was also someone who went up in appeal and insisted on teaching without an upgradation of skills.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Nothing direclty related to the topic - but can anyone explain to me what they mean by the term loser - I find this term being used very loosly.
If educated persons from India leave the country and come to Canada to settle, is India a loser?
Or is India a gainer because indirectly it reduces population pressures on a highly populous country. Or is it a gainer because it also gets valuable foreign exchange from these immigrants?
And is Canada a gainer by getting such educated English speaking, hard working (or hardly working) immigrants? Or is it a loser by not being able to utilise the full potential of such immigrants?
Is a person who is not able to achieve what he aspired for, a loser? Or is he not a loser because he has achieved more than what many others who are less successful than him have not achieved?
So what exactly does the term loser mean? I want to know this because some have used this term for me too.
