Sorry you're mistaken, check out the link above. In 2002, the last year for which I could find these statistics on the CIC website, 18% of all immigrants were from mainland Europe / the UK.

When you compare the populations of India and China to that of Europe, one would say that a disproportionate number of immigrants are European!

When Canada need labours, they lure prospective Immigrants in Asia with false promise and bring them en route CIC.........

Its unfortunate that they cant find Crenshwas there........with Hi Fi English and twisted accent........those who possess the skills are in Harvard or work for Infosys.........who give a damn about Canada...
