i've just landed in TO 15 days back,it is obviously beautiful place to live,only thing u need in abundance is money, if u have it nothing like it.
I need to bring to the notice of all aspiring immigrants to take in to consideration cost of establishing yourself in Canada, we all inquire(including me) of the cost of living accordingly arrange for the funds and calculate this is gonn a last us for 6mths or 12 mths whatever we get it, but the cost of settling your appt ,is exorbitant too, starting from mattress, bed furniture of bare minimum for the appt, proportionately to the size of family and appt, u've rented.
Cost of learning driving and obtain the license, and if u have more eligible members to learn driving multiply the cost, like for instance in my family v r 4 persons so the cost of learning driving & obtaining driving license for all 4 of us only $ 2000\-
this is necessary too.
List is endless my only advise to all immigrants in waiting please also take in to consideration cost of establishing in Canada too it is very very essential.
I may not have fully justified the topic or may not have expressed it properly for lack of time , but I still insist on consider the cost before u leave your home country.

The cost of living in Canada is high(especially compared to the US)
Toronto can still be considered close.(Montreal and Vancouver as well)
Anyone settling down in smaller cities (outside of Alberta) can be sure of paying much more for any service.

eg. the cost of living(groceries, services etc) in Halifax are outrageous.
